He is a longtime basketball coach, coaching his children and grandchildren. He has been honored as a longtime volunteer by the City of Kettering.

Bob Scott was elected on Kettering City Council in 2021 and re-elected in 2023. He serves on the Kettering Development Corporation, the Miami Valley Regional Planning Commission and served on the Miami Valley Communications Council.

Scott is an active member of the Kettering Dor-Wood Optimist Club, helping coordinate the Club's basketball tournament for the youth. Bob is a longtime UD Flyers, Cincinnati Reds, Bengals and Kettering Firebird fan.

He is married to his wife Letty and they have three children Rob, Lauren, and Sarah and four grandchildren. Brayden, Jax, Lucas and Annie.

There have been four generations of Scotts that call Kettering home.
As a third generation, I knew Kettering was the only place I wanted to raise my children. As your next Mayor, I will preserve our great city but ensure its continued growth for more generations to come. Pictured is my grandfather Charles, who built his home on Melrose which was Van Buren Township
(before Kettering was an incorporated city), my father who built his home on Central Park when it was the Village of Kettering, myself and my son, Rob.
